We cordially invite you to contribute to this Special Issue of “Digitalization in Orthopedic Sports Medicine”.
Digitalization has become progressively present in many areas of patients' lives. Surgery, pharmacology, radiology, genetics, and illness prevention have all experienced remarkable advancements throughout the years. The progress of digital innovation significantly characterized the twenty-first century. Healthcare continues to evolve, and the speed of change in the near future may be relevant. Sports medicine is interdisciplinary and transnational, and digitalization can enhance collaboration by people throughout the world. The use of mobile applications (apps) in medical and health-related contexts is a growing business with much potential for improvement. An ever-increasing number of applications are targeted at a varied audience in sports and fitness. Fitness tracking is becoming highly relevant in sports medicine and used by ordinary athletes for training. In sports medicine, the current treatment options are still highly dependent on doctor visits and decisions. Integrating mobile data might improve patient monitoring and treatment.
The aim of this Special Issue is to provide the recent findings in digital solutions for orthopedic sports medicine.
