The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes articles and communications in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. This interdisciplinary subsection of Digital Health will focus on informatics, innovations, technologies, and applications for human health.
Original research and systematic reviews on the subject of health interactions between ICT and medicine are welcome. This Section aims to provide a platform for authors, reviewers, and researchers from around the world to present their discoveries focused on the following: information and communications technology (ICT) applied to medicine; electronic health records; e-health and mobile health; medical informatics; the Internet and social media platforms as well as their use for health purposes; big data analytics; telemedicine; health artificial intelligence; new medical devices; personalized medicine; and legislation as well as ethics in the field of digital health.
Overall, this Section aims to be a useful source of innovative perspectives, practices, and policies focused on digital health and to explore public health phenomena as well as innovations in an era where health services are more and more often provided through digital solutions.
