Dear Colleagues,
We cordially invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of Genetic Disease in Orthopedics.
In recent years, advances in medical genetics have supplied orthopedic surgeons with new knowledge that may be employed to diagnose and prevent a multitude of orthopedic disorders. Prenatal diagnosis of several conditions may also assist clinicians in preparing parents for the disease. Orthopedic patients may have chromosomal abnormalities. Individuals with mild clinical signs indicative of a documented syndrome caused by a chromosomal defect, such as Klinefelter syndrome, Turner syndrome, or any known trisomies, should be further explored to confirm the diagnosis. On the contrary, the genetic bases of several conditions, such as idiopathic scoliosis, are not fully understood, but researchers worldwide are working on it. Identifying the gene involved in a specific disease could provide targeted therapy improving patient outcomes.
This Special Issue aims to report the most recent findings in the genetic diagnosis and therapy of orthopedic patients.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Biology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
