Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are organizing a Special Issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH), entitled “Proceedings of First International Congress on Food, Nutrition and Public Health—Towards a Sustainable Future (ICFNH2022)”, to report research evidence shared on 17 November 2022.
ICFNH 2022 is a multidisciplinary congress discussing the importance of sustainable food systems in terms of food, nutrition and public health, promoted by the National Institute of Health, Dr. Ricardo Jorge, I.P., through the Department of Food and Nutrition.
In recent years, scientific evidence has continued to show the existence of strong relationships between diet, lifestyle and the early development of serious public health problems, leading to a decrease in quality of life and premature mortality of the population. At ICFNH 2022, experts recognized in the field plan to discuss issues focusing on sustainable food production and consumption, sustainable nutritional strategies and the impact of a sustainable approach to food and nutrition on public health.
Ensuring that healthy eating translates into sustainable food with benefits for public health requires everyone's collaboration!
The conference abstracts address several key areas, including:
- Sustainable food production and sustainable food systems;
- Sustainable diets and human nutrition;
- Impact of sustainable food and nutrition on public health.
