Plant Molecular Biology
A section of Plants (ISSN 2223-7747).
Section Information
The Plant Molecular Biology Section of the journal Plants publishes original research and timely review articles on all aspects of plant molecular biology, including gene, protein, and metabolite levels. This Section aims to help plant scientists to exchange knowledge and increase visibility of their studies toward specialists in other molecular aspects of plant sciences.
As this is a section of a plant biology journal, all presented work must be clearly related to important biological problems of broad interest, including research in comparative genomics, functional genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, biochemical and regulatory networks, and biotechnology. Articles outside the scope of the subject matter listed here may not be considered in this section. Any approach to the study of molecular botany is considered, be it experimental or theoretical, but it should be performed to a high quality standard.
In particular (but not exclusively), this Section invites contributions that report on:
- molecular biology
- genetics and genomics
- bioinformatics
- molecular evolution
- proteomics
- computational and system biology
- biochemical and regulatory networks
- biotechnology
- molecular physiology and plant breeding
- epigenetics
- transcriptomics
- primary and secondary metabolism
- forensic molecular botany
- plant phylogeny
- other -omics
