Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Coronary artery disease (CAD) remains a global health concern of paramount significance, representing a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Over the years, substantial strides have been made in understanding the pathophysiology, risk factors, and management of CAD. Nevertheless, the early identification and precise assessment of CAD risk continue to be essential for effective preventive strategies and optimized patient care.

This Special Issue, titled “Recent Advances in Coronary Artery Disease Screening”, is dedicated to exploring the latest breakthroughs, innovative technologies, and emerging paradigms in CAD screening and risk assessment. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to disseminate their research findings, share clinical experiences, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on CAD prevention.

The articles featured in this Special Issue will span a wide spectrum of topics related to CAD screening, encompassing novel imaging modalities, risk prediction models, biomarkers, and lifestyle interventions. We invite authors to submit their original research, reviews, and clinical studies that delve into the intricacies of CAD screening, from the basic science underpinning these advancements to their practical applications in patient care.

As the guest editors of this Special Issue, we are excited to bring together a diverse range of contributions that will illuminate the ever-evolving landscape of CAD screening, offering fresh insights and evidence-based strategies to enhance cardiovascular health. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, we aspire to catalyze improvements in CAD prevention and, ultimately, reduce the burden of this pervasive cardiovascular condition on global health. We encourage researchers and clinicians to join us in this endeavor, sharing their expertise and discoveries for the betterment of individuals at risk of CAD and the broader healthcare community.
