Biomedical Applications of Self-Assembled Polymer Composites

Dear Colleagues,

Polymer composites such as organic, inorganic, and biopolymers have been widely studied in recent years. Meanwhile, it has been noticed that self-assembled two-dimensional and three-dimensional materials including nanosheets, nanoribbons, grids, lattices, and nanoporous networks exhibit promising structures and functions. Self-assembled polymer composites have, therefore, been applied in many exciting fields, one of which is the biomedical field. This Special Issue seeks to showcase research papers, short communications, and review articles that focus on 1) novel designs, fabrication, and control of self-assembled polymer composites; 2) new developments of applying self-assembled polymer composites in the biomedical field, such as biosensing, bioimaging, and drug delivery; and 3) fundamental studies on mechanisms of self-assembly using novel polymer systems.
