Dear Colleagues,
Polymeric coatings on textile fabrics can be used to increase their functionality for a wide array of purposes. It is important to conduct molecular research to gain a better understanding of the basic mechanisms of polymeric coatings so as to further extend their applications.
This Special Issue seeks to collate papers that sheds light on the enhanced molecular materials which can be used in textile coatings, and focuses on novel theories of molecular research to cope with the emerging challenges.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Polymer coatings for smart and electronic textiles;
- Medical textiles;
- Protective textiles;
- Sol–gel finishing;
- Biomolecules for textile coatings;
- Organic/inorganic hybrid coating materials;
- Polymeric nanomaterial coatings;
- New methods of textile coating and finishing.
