Section Information
The Section “Materials for Energy Applications” is aimed at publishing highly impactful papers covering both experimental and theoretical work on crystalline functional energy materials. The goal is to provide a forum for scientists and engineers with a quick publication turnaround, while maintaining the high quality standards of our journal.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Materials for thermoelectric energy conversion;
- Inorganic and organic solar cell materials, including thin films and single crystal devices;
- Materials for rechargeable battery applications;
- Supercapacitors;
- Materials and approaches for hydrogen generation and storage;
- Materials and approaches for water splitting;
- Fuel Cells;
- Photocatalysis;
- Piezoelectronics.
Characterization techniques, such as optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, magnetic resonance, neutron scattering, electron microscopy (SEM, TEM, EBSD), in situ experiments or device characterization, are of interest.
There is no restriction on the length of papers, and contributions are welcome in the form of original research articles, reviews, letters, and communications.
