Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is now well established that metabolic reprogramming is closely linked to different oncogenic processes. Altered metabolism is crucial to respond to cancer cell requirements during tumor progression. Lipid metabolic reprogramming, in particular, is recognized as a central player in the tumor being involved in the development, survival, progression of cancer. In recent years, accumulating evidence also suggests that dysregulated lipid metabolism could play a role in resistance to anticancer treatments.

In this Special Issue, we would like to focus on the emerging understanding of biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying lipid metabolic reprogramming induced by anticancer drugs during the development of drug resistance and highlight their significance in the development of new therapeutic strategies.
