Dear Colleagues,
Plant oxidative metabolism is crucial in plant growth and development and also in stress responses. In order to survive the harsh conditions caused by our changing climate, plants use their metabolic pathways efficiently. Polyamines could be act as hub molecules to adjust plant tolerance influencing other connecting pathways, not only signal pathways but also hormonal pathways. This Special Issue welcomes all manuscripts that enhance our knowledge about how these essential polycations could contribute to more sustainable agriculture via fine tuning plant oxidative metabolism. There is a need to decipher the mechanisms behind the combined stress responses related to polyamine metabolism as it could be a key player in modulating stress-induced phenotypic plasticity or root system architecture. Manuscripts about the significance of polyamines in alternative plant growth conditions, such as vertical or urban farming or in space are also invited. This Special Issue focuses on enhancing our knowledge about the dynamic balance of polyamines in different growth or stress responses.
