Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This study investigated the recyclability of different grades of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) copolymer, polycarbonate, and polypropylene. The authors further tested the properties of the recycled e-waste plastics by different analysis methods. The results provided new insights into valorizing the plastic waste. The paper can be accepted after minor revision.

Please add the conclusion part in the revised manuscript to summarize the main fundings of this manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is technically sound. The following points need to be considered;

1. The introduction section must be modified to include articles that deals with waste plastics used for 3D printing applications. The novelty of the current study must be clearly mentioned.

2. It is better to follow the order Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussions, Conclusions followed by references. Couldn't find a conclusion section in this article.

3. In the preparation of PC-ABS blends, a compatibilizer is required. Whether a compatibilizer was used in this study?

Reviewer 3 Report

- Minor English revision required

- The introduction section should be improved with more state-of-the-art investigations. The authors should also clearly state the novelty of their work compared to those already published.

- As mentioned by other investigations, the two major plastics used in electronic equipment housings are HIPS and ABS. The authors didn't mention HIPS.

- FTIR spectra should be better resolved. The authors should use transmission mode instead of reflection mode for increased resolution and replace the spectra. Using transmission mode makes it easier to distinguish between HIPS and ABS.
