Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Fungi, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 JoF Travel Award.

This highly competitive award was granted to Dr. Teresa Rodgers O’Meara, postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Leah Cowen at University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada). Dr. O’Meara’s research addresses genetic factors influencing how pathogenic fungi sense and respond to the host environment.

The travel award provides 800 Swiss Francs to attend a conference related to medical mycology in 2019. Many thanks to our judges and a hearty congratulations to our winner!

Best regards,

Dr. Teresa Rodgers O’Meara
