Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are inviting submissions to a Special Issue of Journal of Low Power Electronics and Applications (JLPEA) on the subject of “Advanced Technologies for Green Energy and Electric Vehicles”.

Since the industrial revolution, the development of global science and the continuous improvement and progress of industrial technology have improved quality of people's life. However, the long-term and large amount of access and abuse of the earth resources, the world has been facing a crisis of gradual depletion of energy. In addition, the extensive use of energy, emissions of many harmful greenhouse gases, has caused global warming, climate anomalies, iceberg melting, sea level rise and other unusual phenomena. Serious environmental pollution problems caused by fossil energy are growing. According to statistics, the global power industry-related greenhouse gas emissions account for about one-third of the total global greenhouse gas emissions. The total number of global vehicles estimated at least more than 1 billion, and it is not to be underestimated for emissions problems. Distributed generation (DG) can be sustainable and stable economic operation through the energy management and optimization control of microgrids. Electric vehicles can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by advanced control technology, i.e., the use of effective energy management and control strategies. Renewable energy systems and electric vehicles of emerging technologies and applications can soothe some of the energy crisis and global warming issues.

Prospective authors are invited to submit original contributions, or survey papers or tutorials, for review and publication in this special issue. Papers with applications in nature are particularly welcome.

Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to:

  • Battery management systems, charging and discharging techniques
  • Communication and control networks
  • Communication systems oriented to microgrids

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Low Power Electronics and Applications is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
