Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Physical activity and sport in children are crucial for the preservation of their health and longevity. In this setting, checking and maintenance of their health are the fundamental prerequisites for ensuring that physical activity takes place safely. Of particular interest is, therefore, the relationship between growth and training, as well as the early diagnosis of cardiac diseases, as compared to results of athletic training.

Furthermore, children and adolescents with specific physical or mental limitations can also take advantage of engagement in physical therapy and sport, provided that participation is safe, according to evidence-based international protocols.

In the area of children and adolescents, scientific data and knowledge on safe starts and engagement in sport and physical activity are still lacking.

Therefore, in this Special Issue, we encourage researchers to send original papers and focused reviews on the topic of children and adolescent's health and the results of physical activity and sports. Papers on the use of novel technologies in improving clinical assessment and management of disease children and adolescents are particularly welcome.
