Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Special Issue on "The Use of Animal Models for Development and Evaluation of Viral Vaccines" in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (ISSN 1422-0067). This Special Issue falls under the section "Molecular Microbiology" and aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in the field.

Animal models play a crucial role in the development and evaluation of viral vaccines, contributing to our understanding of viral pathogenesis, immune responses, and vaccine efficacy. This Special Issue aims to highlight the significance of animal models in vaccine research and provide insights into their applications, limitations, and future prospects.

We welcome original research articles, comprehensive reviews, short communications, and expert opinions on the use of animal models for viral vaccine development and evaluation. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  1. Characterization of animal models for viral infections in vaccine development.
  2. Mechanisms of viral pathogenesis and host immune responses in animal models.
  3. Evaluation of vaccine efficacy and immunogenicity in animal models.
  4. Comparative analysis of different animal models for viral vaccine research.
  5. Molecular similarity between human and animals.
  6. Translational relevance of animal models in predicting vaccine outcomes in humans.

We encourage researchers and experts in the field to contribute to this Special Issue. Manuscript submissions can be made through our online submission system. Should you have any inquiries or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are confident that this Special Issue will serve as a valuable resource for the scientific and medical communities, fostering advancements in the development and evaluation of viral vaccines. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
