Dear Colleagues,

Neurodevelopment is a complex process central to the intricate formation of the nervous system. Understanding the subtle cues and intricate mechanisms that underpin the natural process of neural growth and connectivity during development is pivotal. This knowledge forms the bedrock upon which therapies are built, empowering scientists and clinicians to harness the potential of regenerative medicine effectively. By deepening our comprehension of neurodevelopment and its application in regeneration, we advance our capacity to heal and restore the nervous system.

With this Special Issue, we aim to shed light on how researchers are leveraging the fundamental principles of embryology to pave the way for groundbreaking approaches for regeneration in the context of neurological disorders and injuries. The articles will comprehensively explore these novel regeneration strategies, ranging from the potential of induced pluripotent stem cells to the remarkable advancements in tissue engineering techniques. The ultimate goal of these innovative approaches is to facilitate the restoration of lost neural function, offering hope to countless individuals affected by neurological conditions.
