Dear Colleagues,
Inherited neuromuscular diseases are disorders affecting the muscles, motor neurons, peripheral nerves, or the neuromuscular junction. In recent years, many advances have been achieved in the field of therapeutic interventions in rare neuromuscular diseases; however, we are still far from achieving possible therapies for many disorders, and many others are still underdiagnosed and underestimated.
In this Special Issue, we will focus on new possible diagnostic tools and new therapeutic interventions based on molecular approaches, and particularly on drug-repurposing approaches, for rare inherited neuromuscular diseases for which there are still no known and approved therapeutic strategies. This Special Issue, entitled “Molecular Advances in Rare Inherited Neuromuscular Diseases: Therapeutic and Diagnostic”, thus aims to collect research papers and reviews on this topic.
We invite colleagues working in this area to submit their work for publication in this Special Issue of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
