Dear Colleagues,
Redox regulation is become an interesting point of control between protein structure and function, with important effects on the functional metabolism of plants in response to increasingly pressing adverse situations. The integration of signalling pathways involving reactive oxygen, sulphur, or nitrogen species affecting protein amino acid residues, together with systems that regulate post-translational modifications caused by these species, allows the plant to set up response mechanisms that ameliorate damage, with important implications for plant growth and productivity. In this Special Issue of the International Journal of Molecular Science, recent progress in research to elucidate the molecular mechanisms involved in plant redox regulation will be welcomed, with research papers, reviews, or feature/perspective articles being considered.
