Dear Colleagues,
Musculoskeletal disorders are leading contributors to years lived with disability worldwide, affecting people of all ages. Understanding the pathogenic mechanisms for these conditions is a challenging task for researchers and clinicians that can lead to the development of new strategies to identify different phenotypes, biomarkers for early diagnosis and prognosis as well as to facilitate personalized therapeutic approaches.
The scope of this Special Issue is to gather original articles and comprehensive reviews addressing pathways involved in cartilage, bone, ligament, tendon, muscle injury and repair, as well as their clinical implications in terms of presentation and progression of MSK disorders, diagnostic and prognostic insights, and potential therapeutic strategies for these conditions.
