Section Information
The Pediatric Neonatology Section welcomes submissions pertaining to the comprehensive care, both short and long-term, of high-risk neonates. This encompasses infants ranging from extreme preterm to term infants with conditions arising from birth or congenital challenges. Submissions may also delve into antenatal management, provided they sufficiently address the neonatal component. Accepted articles are encouraged to explore various aspects, such as care management, supportive measures, long-term outcomes, and the epidemiology and impact of preterm or high-risk births on both the infant and the family, as well as the broader healthcare system on a global scale.
We particularly value clinical trials and observational studies, including cohort and case–control studies. While we have a preference for these study designs, systematic reviews and meta-analyses are also welcome, given that they adhere to robust methodological standards. We look forward to contributions that enhance our understanding of neonatal care and contribute valuable insights to the field.
