Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue “Feature Review Papers in Section Computational Catalysis” aims to attract comprehensive reviews from all over the world that relate to computational-based investigations within the broad field of catalysis (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/catalysts/sections/computational_catalysis). This includes the development of new computational techniques and screening methods, as well as the rigorous application of current computational tools for discovering new catalysts, reaction mechanisms, or catalytic processes.
The computational techniques discussed in this section are expected to range from atomistic-level investigations using quantum mechanical approaches all the way to larger-scale studies of reactor modeling. With a focus on catalysis, these computational contributions are expected to provide new insights into to our theoretical or practical understanding of catalytic phenomena.
We invite authors to submit high-quality reviews that will contribute to this area. All fields of catalysis which are driven by a substantial computational component will be considered, including but not limited to: heterogeneous catalysis, homogeneous catalysis, organocatalysis, biocatalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, and environmental catalysis.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Catalysts is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
