Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to invite you to submit your manuscripts to this Special Issue on “Immunosensors and translational Applications”. This Special Issue will focus on the latest advances in the development and application of immunosensors, with a particular emphasis on translational research and development.

Immunosensors are a type of biosensor that uses antibodies or other biological recognition elements to detect and measure specific target molecules. Immunosensors have a wide range of applications in the biomedical field, including disease diagnosis, food safety monitoring, and environmental monitoring.

Translational research and development is the process of translating basic scientific discoveries into new and improved products, processes, and services that have a positive impact on human health and well-being. Translational research and development is essential for accelerating the development of new and improved immunosensors.

This Special Issue will welcome original research papers and reviews on the following topics:

  • New immunosensor designs and fabrication methods;
  • Development of immunosensors for new target molecules;
  • Application of immunosensors in the biomedical field, including disease diagnosis, food safety monitoring, and environmental monitoring;
  • Translational research and development of immunosensors.

We are particularly interested in manuscripts that report on the development of immunosensors with high sensitivity, selectivity, and reproducibility. We are also interested in manuscripts that report on the application of immunosensors in real-world settings, such as in clinical laboratories, food processing plants, and environmental monitoring stations.

In addition to the topics listed above, I would also like to encourage submissions on the following topics:

  • Use of immunosensors in point-of-care testing;
  • Development of wearable and implantable immunosensors;
  • Use of immunosensors in personalized medicine;
  • Use of immunosensors in drug discovery and development.

I believe that these topics are of particular interest to the translational research and development community, and I hope to see a number of manuscripts on these topics submitted to this Special Issue.

We encourage you to submit your manuscripts by the deadline. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field.

I look forward to receiving your submissions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Biosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
