Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The theme of 20th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR 2024) is “GPR for better city”. GPR is a powerful technology that has the potential to greatly improve city infrastructure and planning. GPR utilizes electromagnetic waves to detect and map subsurface features, making it a valuable tool for various applications in urban environments. By providing accurate information about the depth and location of underground infrastructure, GPR can contribute to more efficient and cost-effective urban planning and development. GPR is also useful for assessing the condition of city infrastructure and assisting in identifying potential sinkholes or unstable ground conditions and geological and geotechnical investigations, which are crucial for allowing better decision making during urban development projects.

The topics of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following:
