The objective of this data article is to provide a dataset derived from a survey with a representative sample of 500 citizens over 18 years old based in the Community of Madrid.The topic of this study is interesting.  The structure of the article is clear and the process is explained well here. However, it could be improved in some detail.

1.The title is a little long, you can make it more better.

2.It is suggested to further improve the innovation points.

3.To improve the prospectiveness of the literature in the introduction part, it is suggested to cite the latest relevant literature in 2022 or 2023.

Regarding your first comment “The title is a little long, you can make it more better”, we have made the title more concise and short: “Biotechnology and Bio-based Products Perception in Madrid: a Representative Survey Dataset”.

In relation to the second comment “It is suggested to further improve the innovation points”, we have included further information that highlights the innovation points.

And last, the third comment “To improve the prospectiveness of the literature in the introduction part, it is suggested to cite the latest relevant literature in 2022 or 2023” has been considering and a few references have been added.

Dear authors,

Bioeconomy is part of our life and increasing awareness on this subject is of great interest to all governments. The dataset presented is orginal and the source well defined. Methodologies of data collection is described in detail, allowing interested parties to replicate the study to other regions.
