Mixed Use of Chemical Pesticides and Biopesticides among Rice–Crayfish Integrated System Farmers in China: A Multivariate Probit Approach
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Dear Authors,
The topic, you addressed is important,
However, significant technical contribution/clarification is needed as to:
clarify mixture use in tank or combined use? alternate use along rice growing season?
Cearly describe in Matherials and methods what you did, how, etc. so that anybody is willing to repeat his/her research as per your MM, can do it.Your MM is full with literature details.
Your conclusions are biased as above.
English editing is stronly recommented, otherwise the scientific community will not understand your work.
see as above,
Present, past time,. unclear wordings, typos are confusing for the readers.

Mixed-use of chemical pesticides and biopesticides among rice-crayfish integrated system farmers in China: a multivariate pro-bit approach
Abstract
The abstract must include all sections of the manuscript, in this case no methodology and results are included.
Hypothesis should be placed at the end of the introduction, not in methodology.
On the other hand, it is not clear what researchers try to proof. The hypothesis is difficult to understand.
Methodology.
What were the variables to be studied? That on table 2? Why not all variables are discussed?
The survey questionary?
See notes in the MS
Results and discussion
See notes in MS
Conclusion must focus on hypothesis what is written in this section is a summary of results.
General comment
The reading of the MS is difficult and confusing.
What researchers presented in this report is a case of study from Hubei province. Where farmers cultivate a sort of an aquaculture system, so farmers try to reduce the use of chemicals and increase the use of biochemicals to protect the aquatic organism (lines 210-211). This must be clear at the very beginning of the MS.
