Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper titled "Optimization of the stacking plans for Precast Concrete Slab based on assembly sequence" proposed a storage location allocation model with two objectives – secondary sorting workload and  stacking stability for PC slabs. To help the solution jump out of the local optimum during the evolution when using the particle swarm optimization algorithm, this paper introduced an elitist learning  strategy, which can improve the solutions when the group converges. The paper has significant novelty and could contribute to the field if improved to address the many major limitations listed below.

1. Paragraphs starting at lines 568 and 572: These are somehow repetitions of the Section 2.2.

2. The calculation results before the algorithm improvement should be listed in Table 2.

3. English should be polished.

4. Fig. 1 should be larger and show more details of the stacking process.

5. Please re-edit Equations (10)  and (11).

6. Please make the reference format consistent and obey the rules of the journal  of Buildings.

Reviewer 2 Report

There is a repetition of "when the" on page 14 and row 525.

The authors should unify the format of writing the references.
