Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Radiation detectors and sensors are of great interest to the high-energy physics, nuclear physics, and the medical imaging communities. In the past decade, novel scintillator-based radiation detectors have continuously been discovered in academia and in industry thanks to advancements in materials science. Scintillators in various forms and shapes, such as crystal, ceramic, glass, organic-based scintillators, and fiber optics, have been developed to meet the demand for future radiation sensors and detectors operating under severe radiation environments, with a high rate for precision timing and with cost-effectiveness.

This Special Issue provides an overview of recent advancements and achievements in the application of novel scintillators for radiation monitoring and measurement systems, including advanced scintillators and corresponding novel radiation monitoring systems.

Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
