Dear Colleagues:
This Special Issue of Resources focuses on “Global Economic Development: Environment and Resources”. Climate change and global warming issues are receiving more attention today from business leaders, policy-makers, and the general public. Limiting global warming below 2 degrees Celsius by 2050 compared to the industrial revolution era might necessitate transitioning to a resource-constrained but prosperous economy in which both developed and developing countries need to manage their resources more efficiently and effectively. This Special Issue aims to examine both theoretical & conceptual challenges and empirical & case studies in resource and environmental management in developing and developed countries. Of particular interest are examples and case studies of circular economy, sustainable business practices, green supply chain applications, design for the environment (DfE) applications and case studies, resource-management-oriented social enterprises, and progress in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing and developed countries. Theoretical, as well as applied, topics in sustainable development with a focus on environmental and resource management are also welcome.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Resources is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
