Taichung, Taiwan
The aim of the International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C) is to provide a worldwide forum where international participants can share their research knowledge and ideas on the recent and latest research on computers, consumers and control. This conference offers an excellent opportunity for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their newest research results, ideas, developments and applications. The IS3C, held every two years, will be hosted by the National Chin-Yi University of Technology on June 30–July 2, 2023, Taichung, Taiwan. As suggested by the name of the conference, the themes of this conference cover computers, multimedia and intelligent, communication applications, integrated circuits, consumer electronics, renewable energy, systems and control, as well as digital signal processing. Original high-quality papers related to these themes are especially solicited, including theories, methodologies, and applications in computing, consumers and control. All of the accepted and presented papers in the IS3C2023 will be published in the conference proceedings by IEEE Xplore and will be submitted to the EI index and several major citation indices. Selected papers will be invited to submit their revised/enhanced versions to international journals (Electronics, Multimedia Tools and Applications, Applied Sciences, Sensors and Materials, MDPI’s Processes, etc.). All of the prospective papers must be submitted online at the conference’s website. Selected papers are invited to some major indexed post-conference publications.
Athens, Greece
The Global Network on Environmental Science and Technology (Global NEST), jointly with the University of the Aegean (Greece) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), is organizing the 18th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology – CEST2023 from 28 August to 2 September 2023 in Athens (Greece). The conference is scientifically supported by the University of Salerno (Italy), the Open University of Cyprus (Cyprus) and the University of Cincinnati (USA). The event is under the auspices of the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Athens with the support of the World Water Assessment Programme of UNESCO, the International Water Association (IWA) and AC Laskarides Charitable Foundation.
The CEST series is the biggest scientific event in the environmental sector in Greece and has evolved into an important international scientific meeting, which has taken place every two years since 1989. It is a leading environmental conference where top experts, scientists, entrepreneurs and representatives of public administration and social initiatives present state-of-the-art research on current and emerging environmental issues. CEST is thus a platform where academia and business converge—where academic research, innovative ideas and solutions serve as the basis for a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment.
The previous event was held in hybrid mode in Athens (Greece) from 1 to 4 September 2021. During CEST2021, 58 sessions were organized and over 550 papers were presented. The agenda included 18 invited and keynote speeches among whom were Prof. Damia Barcelo (Catalan Institute for Water Research, Spain), Prof. Susan Richardson (University of South Carolina, USA), Prof. Nikos Mihalopoulos (National Observatory of Athens, Greece) and Dr. Manfred Rosenstock (DG Environment).
CEST2023 is announced in a time of transition from linear economic models to a circular economy and bioeconomy worldwide. Bioeconomy is considered a game changer for climate action, as it was emphasized in the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27). On the other hand, the business sector is developing and applying corporate social responsibility programmes and actions based on the triple-helix ESG (Environment, Social, Governance), aiming to promote to the public their social role and environmental care, while ensuring the protection of humans, Earth, and the increase in economic profit.
These topics as well as emerging research fields of the environmental sector will form the basis for scheduling sessions and side events. The keynote speeches can be found at https://cest.gnest.org/invited and will be updated.
CESΤ2023 is expected to attract more than 500 delegates and is focusing on the most innovative approaches in Environmental Science and Technology, divided into the following 12 thematic areas:
- Water and wastewater treatment and reuse;
- Waste management;
- Circular economy and bioeconomy;
- Environmental management and policies;
- Artificial intelligence in environmental applications;
- Environmental citizen science;
- Environmental pollution;
- Ecology, ecosystem change and management;
- Hydrology and water resources;
