2013 Polymers was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Polymers received its first Impact Factor (1.687).
2014 Polymers adopted a monthly publication schedule.
Polymers announced the first edition of the Best Paper Award.
2015 Polymers published its 500th paper.
2016 Polymers announced the first edition of the Young Investigator Award.
Polymers published its 1,000th paper.
2018 The first Polymers conference, Polymers: Design, Function and Application, was held in Barcelona, Spain.
2019 Polymers was indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central.

Polymers established the following sections:
-Polymer Synthesis;
-Polymer Analysis;
-Polymer Physics;
-Polymer Theory and Simulation;
-Polymer Processing and Performance;
-Polymer Applications;
-Biopolymers.

Polymers published its 5,000th paper.
2020 -Biopolymers was renamed as Biomacromolecules, Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers.
-Polymer Synthesis was renamed as Polymer Chemistry.

Polymers established the following sections:
-Polymer Recycling;
-Polymer Composites and Nanocomposites
;
-Green and Sustainable Chemistry in Polymer Science.
2021 Polymers adopted a semimonthly publication schedule.
European Colloid & Interface Society (ECIS) became affiliated to Polymers.
National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology (INSTM) became affiliated to Polymers.
The First International Conference on “Green” Polymer Materials 2020 was held online.
-Polymer Analysis was renamed as Polymer Analysis and Characterization.
-Polymer Processing and Performance was renamed as Polymer Processing and Engineering.
-Polymer Physics was merged with Polymer Theory and Simulation to create a new section Polymer Physics and Theory.
-Polymer Recycling was merged with Green and Sustainable Chemistry in Polymer Science to create a new section Circular and Green Polymer Chemistry.

Polymers established the following sections:
-Polymer Colloid and Interface;
-Smart and Functional Polymers
;
-Polymer Fibers;
-Polymer Membranes and Films.

Polymers published its 10,000th paper.
2022 North American Thermal Analysis Society (NATAS) became affiliated to Polymers.
The second Polymers conference, “New Trends in Polymer Science: Health of the Planet, Health of the People”, was held in Turin, Italy.
2023 The year 2023 marked the 15th Anniversary of Polymers.
Polymers received its 2022 Impact Factor (5).
