This Special Issue, titled "Plant-Based Nutraceuticals: Advances in Phytochemistry and Applications", is targeted at a comprehensive exploration of the phytochemical constituents within plant-based sources and their evolving applications in the nutraceutical industry. The collection of articles within this Special Issue provides insights into the bioactive compounds present in various plant species, elucidating their chemical structures, mechanisms of action, and potential health benefits. Contributions range from elucidating the molecular pathways underlying the therapeutic effects of plant-derived compounds to exploring innovative extraction techniques that enhance the bioavailability of phytochemicals. The intersection of phytochemistry and nutrition tremendously impacts health: the concentrated form of phytochemicals (nutraceuticals) is used as a preventive measure or cure for many diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. Nutraceuticals are substances that are not traditionally recognized as nutrients but have positive physiological effects on the human body, and quality–quantity measures are critical for their use. The key task is to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and science-based evidence. As the demand for natural and sustainable health solutions grows, this Special Issue could highlight the potential of plant-based nutraceuticals for human well-being.
