Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to contribute original research manuscripts and/or reviews of the current scientific literature for this Special Issue of Pharmacy focused on all aspects of dietary supplement use: raw materials; the development and manufacturing process; quality control and process validation of the final products; the clinically researched data and scientifically driven efficacy proofs; possible mechanisms of action; and the pharmacists’ major impact in recommending, advising, and counseling patients on the use of these products. Manuscripts focused on any relevant issues considering the regulation of dietary supplement products and the guidelines for the limits on heavy metals, pesticides, and environmental toxins will also be considered. The widespread and frequent use of dietary supplements, coupled with their high diversity, creates an important need for unbiased and reliable scientific evidence regarding their safety, efficacy, and potential human health risks.
