Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to introduce the Special Issue “Oral Microorganisms and Biofilms”. This is dedicated to unraveling the complex interplay between oral microorganisms and biofilms, as well as their pivotal role in oral health and disease. Our focus extends to the antimicrobial effects on oral biofilms, the intricate processes of remineralization and demineralization in early caries, and the advancement of oral healthcare strategies aimed at preventing oral diseases. We invite researchers and clinicians to contribute their latest findings and insights, fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue that bridges the gap between basic science and clinical practice. This Special Issue aims to shed light on innovative research and emerging technologies that have the potential to revolutionize our understanding and management of oral biofilms and their impact on oral health.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Microorganisms is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
