Recruiting Editorial Board Members for Membranes
 


We are currently recruiting Editorial Board Members (EBMs) for Membranes (ISSN: 2077-0375). If you are interested in serving on the Editorial Board, or have potential candidates to recommend, please do not hesitate to contact the Editorial Office (membranes@mdpi.com). 

The initial term is 2 years and entails the following responsibilities:

  • Pre-screening and making decisions on new submissions related to your research interests;
  • Setting up at least one Special Issue during your term on a topic related to your research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to your research field);
  • Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
  • Helping to promote the journal among your peers or at conferences;
  • Attending board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
  • Reviewing manuscripts. 

You could choose one of the following Sections that suits your area of interest:

  • “Inorganic Membranes”;
  • “Membrane Chemistry”;
  • “Membrane Physics and Theory”;
  • “Membrane Analysis and Characterization”;
  • “Membrane Surfaces and Interfaces”;
  • “Membrane Processing and Engineering”;
  • “Membrane Applications”;
  • “Polymeric Membranes”. 

As an Editorial Board Member, you would have the following benefits:

  • Publishing one paper free of charge in Membranes per year, and also publishing extra papers with special discounts;
  • Publishing one paper free of charge in your own Special Issue per year;
  • A travel grant opportunity will be offered to Editorial Board Members that make significant contributions to the journal;
  • Recommending/inviting your colleagues to submit full research articles or review papers with special discounts. 

Membranes is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, published monthly online by MDPI. The journal covers the broad aspects of the science and technology of both biological and non-biological membranes. It is indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded, the impact factor is 4.562 for 2021, 5-Year Impact Factor is 5.015, and it is ranked Q1 in the “Polymer Science” category, Q2 in the “Engineering, Chemical” category, Q2 in the “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary” category, and Q2 in the “Chemistry, Physical” category. On average, a first decision is provided to authors 13.09 days after submission, and acceptance to publication is undertaken in 3.27 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the second half of 2022).
