Young Investigator Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winners of the Journal of Intelligence 2022 Young Investigator Award are Dr. Alicia Forsberg and Dr. Jacqueline Caemmerer.

Dr. Alicia Forsberg completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh, UK, and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Missouri, USA. She is currently a lecturer of the Department of Psychology at the University of Sheffield, UK. Dr. Forsberg is interested in the development of cognition across the human lifespan, including both child development and cognitive aging. Recently, she has been exploring the relationship between working and long-term memory and the development of object and feature memory. Her research also examines lifespan differences in metacognition and how people approach cognitive tasks.

Dr. Jacqueline Caemmerer completed her PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Educational Psychology’s School Psychology Program at University of Connecticut, USA. Dr. Caemmerer has broad interests in assessment and researches what tests measure and other validity issues. She studies the structure of intelligence, the influence of cognitive abilities on academic achievement, and developmental considerations of tests among youth. She also examines the influence of social variables on youth’s academic achievement and is interested in statistical modeling.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Alicia Forsberg and Dr. Jacqueline Caemmerer for their outstanding achievements. As the awardees, Dr. Alicia Forsberg and Dr. Jacqueline Caemmerer will each receive an honorarium of CHF 500, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before the end of December 2023 in J.
