Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiothoracic surgery is a complex process in which the patient's cardiovascular physiology is constantly changing due to various factors.

Physiological changes begin with the induction of anesthesia, and the effects of anesthesia continue after surgery. Depending on the procedure, patients may require the use of cardiopulmonary bypass and cardiac arrest, both of which can affect physiological function after surgery, such as cardiac index and vascular resistance. Hemodynamic instability may result from complications due to adverse surgical reactions.

This Special Issue focuses on all the aspects of anesthesiology in cardiothoracic surgeries, including but not limited to cardiothoracic surgery preparation, anesthesia management, single lung ventilation, intraoperative management and so on.

We welcome the submission of manuscripts from Editorial Board Members and from outstanding scholars invited by the Editorial Board Members and the Editorial Office.
