Dear Colleagues,
It is with a great pleasure that we present this Special Issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, entitled “Application of Echocardiography in the Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Diseases”. Echocardiography represents the cornerstone imaging modality for the diagnosis of different cardiovascular diseases. New diagnostic tools such as 3D-echo, speckle tracking, and myocardial work assessment may provide further contributions to the diagnosis, identification of subclinical cardiac involvement, and prognosis stratification.
In this Special Issue, we aim to collect manuscripts, original articles, and reviews focusing on the role of echocardiography for the diagnosis of different cardiovascular diseases, varying from valvular heart disease to heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and ischemic heart disease. Manuscripts focusing on the application of new imaging techniques and their potential added value in identifying the early signs of disease are welcomed.
