Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair is a surgical procedure used to treat a common injury among athletes—a torn ACL. The ACL is a ligament that connects the thigh bone to the shin bone and helps stabilize the knee joint. During the procedure, the surgeon will remove the damaged tissue and replace it with a graft made from either the patient's own tissue or a donor's tissue. The new graft is then secured in place with screws or other devices. After the surgery, patients will need to undergo physical therapy to regain strength and mobility in the knee joint.

This Special Issue focuses on the clinical aspects and practices related to ACL repair, covering a wide range of topics including diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of ACL injuries. The articles in this Special Issue provide valuable insights into the latest advancements in ACL repair techniques, surgical procedures, and post-operative management. It also offers information on the use of different graft materials, such as autografts and allografts, and their outcomes in ACL reconstruction. The goal of this Special Issue is to provide healthcare professionals, surgeons, and researchers with a comprehensive understanding of the clinical management and practices involved in ACL repair. Ultimately, this knowledge will enhance patient outcomes and improve overall care for individuals with ACL injuries.
