Journal History

2018 The inaugural issue was released. Heritage was published as a quarterly journal.
2019 Heritage established the following sections:
- Biological and Natural Heritage;
- Archaeological Heritage;
- Geoheritage and Geo-Conservation;
- Architectural Heritage;
- Artistic Heritage;
- Cultural Heritage;
- Digital Heritage;
- Underwater Heritage.
2020 Heritage announced the first edition of the Ph.D. Thesis Award.
2021 Heritage was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier) and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science.
2022 Heritage received its first CiteScore (2021) of 1.8, ranked 9/96 (Q1) in "Conservation", 54/335 (Q1) in "Archeology (arts and humanities)", and 64/124 (Q3) in "Materials Science (miscellaneous)". 
2023 Heritage adopted a monthly publication schedule.
Heritage received its 2022 CiteScore (2.8), ranked 8/102 (Q1) in "Conservation", 34/368  (Q1) in "Archeology (arts and humanities)", and 71/150 (Q2) in "Materials Science (miscellaneous)".
Heritage received its first Impact Factor (1.7).
Heritage was indexed in the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR) (Area 08/Class A—Sector 08/C1, Sector 08/E1, Sector 08/E2 and Sector 08/F1).
