Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Regenerative medicine holds immense potential for treating diseases and improving quality of life. Drugs and stem/stromal cell-based tissue engineering are promising approaches for regenerating damaged or diseased tissues and organs. The Special Issue "Biomaterials and Stem/Stromal Cell-Based Pharmaceuticals in Tissue Engineering" focuses on studying the effects of cells, drugs, growth factors, and/or biomedical materials on tissue engineering optimization and regenerative medicine development.

This collection aims to publish pioneering innovative research, methodologies, and breakthroughs at the interface of pharmaceuticals and stem cells, emphasizing breakthrough aspects of stem cell-based tissue engineering, including drug-loaded carriers, formulations of bioactive scaffolds, and in vivo tests.

Studies that investigate stem/stromal cells (such as induced pluripotent stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, and adult stem cells) and a large variety of materials, either synthetic, natural, or bioactive composites, are welcome. The theme of this Special Issue also includes articles on drug-loaded carriers, formulations of bioactive scaffolds, and the use of stem cells for targeted pharmaceutical delivery.

The intersection of pharmaceuticals and stem cell biology holds immense potential for addressing complex healthcare challenges. Through this initiative, we aim to catalyze transformative advancements, laying the foundation for innovative pharmaceutical solutions in the regenerative capabilities of stem cells.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Future Pharmacology is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
