As Editor-in-Chief of Forests, I am pleased to announce the two awardees for the 2019 Forests Graduate Student/Post-Doc Travel Awards.
Dr. Evgenios Agathokleous is a PhD in Environmental Resources from the Hokkaido Research Center, Forestry and Forest Products Institute, Japan. His current research focus is the monitoring and modeling of forest health in a changing world.
Mr. Mizanur Rahman is a PhD candidate from the Institute of Geography, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. His current research focus is understanding the long-term growth and physiological responses of South Asian moist forest trees to global environmental changes and their implications for the global carbon and hydrological cycles.
