Special Issue Information

Soil animals, including protozoa, enchytraeid, nematodes, collembola, mites, earthworms, pillwom and other soil-dwelling invertebrates, are the fundamental composition of the soil ecosystem. They have crucial functions in carbon and nutrient cycling, biological control, functional maintainence and ecosystem sustainability. Therefore, soil animals play important roles in benefits of agricultural ecosystem. Understanding of the impact of soil animal community functions provide a scientific basis for improving the rational use of agriculture and sustainable use of agriculture.

This Special Issue will focus on the effect of soil animal communities on agriculture system, including soil animal interactions on soil functions in farmland, the relationship of the fertilazion with soil animal, and interactions between soil animals and crops.
