Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript aims to compare the quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) values and pathology composition with different types of thrombi in middle cerebral artery, and assess the value of susceptibility weight imaging in thrombus component diagnosis in stroke

The introduction section could be improved to avoid unnecessary repetition of well-known and established facts and dependencies. The reported studies comparing QSM values with pathological components of thrombus in patients with acute stroke could be cited.

The discussion and conclusion section might be reconsidered to emphasize clearer the original contribution of the authors.
