We are very happy that Dermato has now entered its fourth year, having published notable papers covering the wide field of dermatology and other closely related disciplines. We remain committed to a robust peer review process to ensure that the papers we publish are of the highest quality, advancing our understanding of skin conditions. However, we believe that it is now time to look back on these publications, and to review the subjects listed in the scope, in order to ensure they remain most appropriate and up-to-date. Considering our previously published papers and developments in relevant research areas over the past few years, we concluded that the subjects mentioned in the scope are largely appropriate and up-to-date, but some minor beneficial amendments could be performed, as indicated in Table 1.
With this update, we hope to encourage the submission of papers in these fields, so as to further the progress and acceptance of our journal in the community. Accordingly, we want to achieve our next goal to get Dermato to be indexed in PubMed as soon as possible!
