The following comments should be addressed;
- Reorganize the whole paper following the next main titles; Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References.
- End the introduction section with the study aim and objectives.
- The materials and methods section should contain the following subtitles; Study area, Satellite Images Acquisition and Preprocessing, Images Classification, Sampling and Analyses, Adopted methodology, Statistical Analyses, etc. All information relevant to the methods should be added to this section. For the sampling and analyses, a number of sampling sites and the methods of analysis should be added in detail in this section, not in the results section.
- Water is dynamic and the dispersion of pollutants in water is fast thus six sampling sites are not enough to represent the impact of land use on water quality. Further, the movement of water from upstream to downstream might extend the impact of land use on the quality of water to farther places. Did the author consider this issue??
- I recommend using GIS for generating the spatial distribution maps of the water quality of the river. This will facilitate the spatial assessment and the correlation with the LU categories.
