Reviewer 2 Report

The Review entitled “Palmitoylethanolamide and related ALIAmides for small animal health: state of the art” is original and has a significance for the scientific community. By its content and design, the article is fully consistent with the special issue “To Go Where Nature Leads: Focus on Palmitoylethanolamide and Related ALIAmides As Innovative Approach to Neuroinflammatory and Pain-Related Disease States in Honor of Doctor Francesco Della Valle”. At the present review authors are describing metabolism and molecular targets of palmitoylethanolamide and related ALIAmides along with their pharmacokinetic properties, preclinical and clinical results in small animals. Additionally, the photos of Francesco della Valle with his scientific mentors are included into the article increasing the interest to the aforementioned publication.

In order to improve the manuscript, the following aspects should be corrected:

1. Please, avoid the references at the Conclusion section.

2. Figure 4 should be transfer from the Conclusion section to the main part pf Manuscript.

After these minor corrections, I highly recommend to accept this manuscript for publication.
