this paper proposed an autonomous replenishment system based on a  mobile robot manipulator and applied it for a convenience store.

 

in the introduction, you mention that "Comparing with previous approaches, we consider the proposed system has the following merits:" 

which previous approaches do you mean? the contributions of your paper compared to the-state-of-the-art are not clear to me.

 

which localizaiton algorithm is used to localize the robot in the store?

can you show the movie file of your experiments?

comparions with the state of the art are required in experiment section.

experiment is too simple. can you do realistic experiments in more complicated workspace with many people? many people can use the store at the same time.

computational load of your method needs to be analyzed in detail. is it possible to run your method in real time?

 

you use "DWA-PS".  what is the benefit of "DWA-PS" compared to [14]? there are many collision avoidance controls in the literature. you need to add more references on collision avoidance controls.

the cotributions of "DWA-PS" compared to the state of the art are not clear to me.

The author proposed an autonomous replenishment system based on mobile robot manipulator. The research has some value for the development of general retail business, but some technical concerns are as follows:

1.       The English expression of the manuscript is poor. I recommend the author seek the assistance of a native English speaker to polish the manuscript.

2.       In the abstract, authors should summarize their academic contributions to highlight the innovation, not just describe the work done.

3.       In section 2.4, the author needs to explain the necessity of using a black dot to separate the rule of measurement data selection.

4.       In the experimental part, I suggest adding the following experiments: 1) the response strategies of robot when the robot is on the front, side and back of a single customer at different distances. 2) the response strategies of robot when more than two customers stand facing the shelf and stand in the middle of the aisle blocking the moving path of robot.

5.       The conclusion needs to be modified appropriately to analyze the work more sufficiently and highlight the main contributions of the author.

6.       There are few references in this paper, and the analysis of recent research results is insufficient.

In summary, I consider this manuscript should be major revised before publication.
