Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The proposed draft is original and well organized.

Generalized carrier index differential chaos shift keying with simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (GCI-DCSK SWIPT) scheme is supported by mathematical analysis as well as the simulation results but the authors are advised to add more recent literature and enhance the introduction in an effective way.

Also the authors are advise to add a comparison table of proposed work with existing literature to highlight the performance parameters.

Author Response

We have taken all the comments into consideration during the revision and our detailed responses can be found below. In the revision, we have made appropriate changes to the paper and marked them in red. We hope that we have addressed all the questions and concerns of the reviewer.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Reviewer 2 Report

The proposed paper is devoted to the issues related to the flexibility and improvement of the CI-DCSK SWIPT technique, with particular attention to the properties of the propagation path and the noise properties of the radio transmitter. The paper has been written in an accessible way, using simple technical language, which will certainly increase the number of readers. The obtained simulation results were well presented on the charts. A broad description of the proposed improvements is provided on the analytical side. In order to increase the quality of the paper, it is recommended to introduce a few very minor corrections and extensions:

a)       Line 9 – probably should be "self-sufficiency"

b)      Page 2 – reference number is not given [? ]

c)       Lines 87-88 - we denote matrices and vectors with a non-italic and bold symbol. Please review the entire text of the paper in this regard.

d)      Page 4 – it should be „active carrier”.

e)      Please comment on the selection of the values of the basic simulation parameters such as: emission power level, path loss exponent, number of propagation paths and difference delay between propagation paths.

Considerations:

- In the introduction section, make clear the contribution. Make a discussion about the CI-DCSK SWIPT and the paper Cheng, Guixian; Chen, Xuan; Liu, Wansong; Xiao, Wenjun  (2019). GCI-DCSK: Generalized Carrier Index Differential Chaos Shift Keying Modulation. IEEE Communications Letters.

- In section 2, the author could provide an in the deep description of CI-DCSK SWIPT schema, including the main challenges that the schema presents. This description can be used as an introduction of GCI-DCSK SWIPT proposed in presented in the next sections.

- In section 4, the results must be compared with traditional methods where it is included the CI-DCSK SWIPT.

- Figure 1 after the paragrapher where it is cited.

- Figures 2, 3, 4, 5 could be better setted up in the text.

- Provide the newest references.

- How the method includes input conditions such as interferences?
