Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript of the study is of a high standard.
It is an interesting topic that has the potential to appeal to the professional public.
The proposed model is reasonable and has a rational basis.
In any case, it is necessary to address the performance of intellectual capital in the theoretical background. At a minimum, the Literature Review should also mention a crucial dimension that fundamentally influences patient satisfaction with the healthcare services provided. See more here:

Pachura, P. et. al. 2018. Identification of Intellectual Capital Performance Using Data Envelopment Analysis. Advances in Spatial Science, pp. 115-130

Another attribute that is not sufficiently reflected is the perception of safety, in healthcare facilities. At least in the case of mental health, it is essential. There are concepts (e.g. CPTED) that address the problem of how to set up elements of the urban environment, or 'servicescape', in such a way that users of the space (in this case elderly and sub-healthy people) feel safe. See for example:
Matlovicova, K; Mocak, P and Kolesarova, J. 2016. Environment of estates and crime prevention through urban environment formation and modification. GEOGRAPHICA PANNONICA 20 (3) , pp.168-180

- Matlovičová, K.; Mocák, P. 2014. Intra-urban crime and crime prevention in the conceptual framework of CPTED (example of the city of Prešov) | Intra-urban crime and crime prevention in the conceptual framework of CPTED (example of the city of Prešov). Geographically Casopis, 66(3), pp. 199-223

The conclusion is insufficiently broad. It should include comments on the fulfilment of the stated objectives, research hypotheses and questions.

Otherwise, the study is very inspiring and I recommend it for publication.

Reviewer 2 Report

The methods section of the paper makes known how the spatial factor index system has been utilized to assess the topic of the study. Essentially it is an empirical case analysis that has been conducted, from a spatial perspective and the results of the study have been well presented in the form of tables, charts, and descriptive analysis.

Point 1: The literature review, which is very limited, and presented to Introduction section mainly, should be extended according to the paper.

Point 2: The references must enrich significant

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear authors,

Thank you very much for the opportunity to review your manuscript on a particularly important topic related to the quality of life of older people.  The paper employs an interesting methodology that has yielded results of a highly innovative nature. If you have any comments, I would like to encourage you to expand the review to include aspects related to the quality of life of older people, it is worth enriching the literature. As far as the results are concerned, in my opinion, it is worth selecting only the most important graphics for the main part of the article and transferring the rest to additional materials.

Best regards

Author Response

Dear Editors and Reviewers,

Thank you very much for your professional comments. Under your guidance, we have added literatures related to the quality of life of the elderly. For example, Gronroos' in-depth exploration of service quality model and its marketing influence helps us provide inspiration and guidance when constructing relevant indicator system. The application of the relevant model to the evaluation of the quality of the elderly service also provides a reference path for us to explore the high-quality life of the elderly. Reflecting your suggestion “selecting only the most important graphics for the main part of the article and transferring the rest to additional materials”, we transferred Table 2. HBSI Spatial Factors Consultation Table into the additional materials. If necessary, Table 1. Comparative Tables of Spatial Characteristics of Medical Care Communities in Wuzhishan City could also be included in the appendix to make the main part of the paper clearer. Thank you again for your positive and constructive comments on our manuscript!
